2005 Pontiac GTO Coupe

The Challenge

A client wanted their classic 2005 Pontiac GTO Coupe street-tuned for optimal power and responsiveness under Alaskan driving conditions, while upgrading the outdated factory sound system and interior lighting to match the modern performance feel.

The Hillside Solution

Kevin Lembke performed a comprehensive tuning and electronics upgrade:

1. Performance Tuning: Calibrated the engine control module (ECM) on the street to optimize fuel maps, ignition timing, and throttle response for high-altitude Anchorage roads.
2. Dash Audio Upgrade: Integrated a sleek Alpine touchscreen display with custom dash trim matching the factory brushed silver panels.
3. Premium Acoustic Layout: Installed JL Audio C2 premium coaxial speakers in the doors and rear panels for crisp highs and clean mid-bass.
4. Interior Accent Lighting: Wired a multi-zone Rigid LED footwell lighting kit syncing with the dome lights for a clean, premium glow.

Results

An incredibly responsive performance coupe that sounds as good inside as it does under the hood. The throttle lag is completely gone, and the premium JL Audio system provides a high-fidelity soundtrack to match the raw performance of the LS2 engine.
